DYI Felt/Cork Board
This is a SUPER easy project! Here is what you'll need.
Ready to use cork board $6.99 at Walmart
Package of Felt $4.99 at Walmart
And thats it!
So this is what you do.
Take the felt and cork board out of their package.
Lay out the felt and lay the cork board on top. Cut around the cork board as close to the size as possible or just a bit smaller (do not go smaller than the boarder around the cork, it is important and you'll see why in a min)
Once cut, lay the felt on the NON cork side of the board.
Take your butter knife and start tucking the edges of the felt UNDER the frame of the cork board. Do this all the way around.
Do half way one side, then do the adjacent one, then continue till those two sides are done. This will help ensure that the felt is tight and not lumpy.
If you find that there is too much to fit under the boarder then just trim a bit off and try again. It will fit!
When its done, sit back and admire that you just saved a butt load of money!
Here is a video about how to tuck in the felt. I had a few questions about doing it.
Now here are some cute places to get felt board stories to share with your little ones!
Very Hungry Caterpillar
Three Little Pigs
Five Little Bees
Little Red Riding Hood
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! The best part was it took 10 mins to make and it was under $15 and to buy one new was going to cost MUCH more than that!
